Up and over garage doors are the most popular garage door option that we have here at Eastern Garage Doors. Available in almost any material including, timber, UPVC and GRP, their versatility and easy-use mechanism appeals to many customers. These doors create little obstruction as they are simply lifted up and pushed back into the roof space. There are two types of up & over garage door available, the canopy and the fully retractable door.
Canopy Garage Doors
Canopy garage doors lift up and slide back into the space in the roof. A small section of the door then overhangs the entrance creating a 'canopy.' This overhang is particularly useful for protecting the garage contents from the elements if the door is left open.
Retractable Garage Doors
Retractable garage doors also lift up and slide back into the roof space, but leave no overhang. The entirety of the door retracts and is concealed in the garage's roof. Their versatility makes them suitable for any garage entrance that measures 8 feet or more but doesn't interfere with the space you have for driving through. These fully retractable doors are strong, durable and perfectly suited for adapting to automated operation.
